At 2229 hours on Tuesday, August 3, Lebanon County Communications transmitted the Commercial Structure Fire Assignment to the area of North Ramona Road and West Washington Avenue for the report of a building on fire. The initial dispatch included Engine 31, Wagon 31, Rescue 31, Tower 31, Wagon 30, PT-30, Ladder 48, Squad 33, and various EMS units. Shortly after, Chief 31 and Assistant 30 arrived with fire showing, the Chief established Command, and requested additional tankers as well as the second alarm assignment being placed on stand-by.

Engine 31, Wagon 30, PT-30, and Tower 31 arrived seconds apart and crews went to work placing portable master streams in service on the garage area, attack lines into the office space, and establishing water supply. The crew of Wagon 30 and PT-30 worked along side of the Engine 31 members to attempt to stop the fire spread via an interior attack. As this operation was being performed fire conditions rapidly worsened, leading to the emergency evacuation of all Myerstown Firefighters.

Following the evacuation orders multiple master streams were placed into service, as crews then established two dump sites and a fill site for tanker operations, Tanker 30 then made the response. On scene personnel operated for roughly six hours prior to the incident being terminated, and multiple firefighters suffered minor injuries.
